27/8 1944.


The USAAF Eights Air Force sent 1203 heavy bombers escorted by 505 fighters to targets in central and northern Germany, including Berlin.

Due to high clouds over northern Germany the attacks were cancelled and a variety of target of opportunity was attacked.

Three bombers and ten fighters were lost.

60 bombers with fighter escort attacked Esbjerg Airfield.
