Ju 88A-1 crashed into the North Sea 9/4 1940.


The aircraft belonged to 4./KG 30 and was coded ?
T/o Westerland Op: Scape Flow.


The Ju 88 crashed into the North Sea with the loss of the four man crew.

Pilot Feldwebel Hans Sültmann was laid to rest in Fovrfelt cemetery in Esbjerg on 1/5 1940 while Bombardier Gefreiter Fritz Fassnacht, W/Op Obergefreiter Richter and Air gunner Gefreiter Willy Stöppel have no known graves.
