He 59 emergency landed in the sea east of the island of Rømø 9/10 1940.


The aircraft belonged to ? and was coded ?
T/o 08:35 Stavanger Op: Flight to Nordeney ?.


At 14:15 hours the He 59 made an emergency landing east of the island of Rømø in Pl.Q. 8684. Signal flares were fired and a dinghy with a two man crew was set a shore.

At 16:30 hours it was reported that the ship Fl.B.225 would tow the He 59 to the island of Sylt on the next morning.
