Do 18 serial number 0699 emergency landed in the Baltic Sea 1/12 1940.


The aircraft belonged to Fl. Erg. Gr. See and was coded ?
T/o ? Op: ?


During the emergency landing in the sea between the Danish island of Møn and Sweden due to engine failure, the Do 18 overturned and lost its tail and damaged the fuselage and sank at 55`14N 12`50E.
 
The three man crew and the two passengers were retrieved from the sea by a MFK of the HSFL Kopenhagen.
