Caudron C445 serial number 541 crashed into Køge Bugt bay 7/2 1942.


The aircraft belonged to General der Luftwaffe in Dänemark Fl.H.Kdtr.Vaerloese and was coded ?
T/o Kastrup. Op: Transfer flight to Fliegerhorst Værløse.


The aircraft crashed into Køge Bugt bay at 14:25 hours on a transfer flight from Kastrup to Værsløse killing the crew of Pilot Unteroffizier Walter Herzig and Flt. Engr. Obergefreiter Erich Bendler.

When retrieved from the sea they were laid to rest in København Bispebjerg cemetery in grave 27 and 26.
Today they rest in København Vestre cemetery.
