Bf 108 serial number 2151 emergency landed near Fliegerhorst Aalborg West 28/3 1942.


The aircraft belonged to Stab I./ KG 26 and was coded 1H+IB.
T/o Aalborg West. Op: Test flight after maintenance.


The Bf 108 experienced engine failure after maintenance and crash landed at Kytterne near Fliegerhorst Aalborg West.
The aircraft was 70% damaged and the persons onboard were all injured and three of them were taken to Ortslazarett Aalborg for treatment.
They were Observer Leutnant Erwin Burghoff, Repair shop team leader Oberfeldwebel Wilhelm Maibom and 1. Engineer Unteroffizier Siegfried Zöls while Pilot Feldwebel Hermann Stephan appears to have been lighter injured.
