Bf 109D serial number 518 crashed near Bjerringbro 31/7 1942.


The aircraft belonged to Jagdgruppe Drontheim (Jagdfl. Schule 3) and was coded ?
T/o Grove. Op: Training.


When flying over Bjerringbro an engine fire erupted and Pilot Gefreiter Hans Büsen bailed out and broke a leg upon landing in his parachute.
At approximately 16:30 hours the Bf 109 crashed near Bjerringbro and was a 100% loss.


Note: It should be noted that the Bf 109 by Luftflotte 5 is recorded as belonging to IV/ JG 5.
