FW 190A-2 serial number 5322 crashed near Fliegerhorst Grove 2/10 1942.


The aircraft belonged to Jagdgruppe Drontheim (Jagdfl. Schule 3) and was coded ?
T/o Grove. Op: Training.


At 16:50 hours the Fw 190A-2 piloted by Oberleutnant Volrad Braun was seen to dive vertically into the ground from 2500 metres altitude.
The aircraft crashed in a meadow belonging to Farmer Anders Høegh of Hvidballe Moor, Faarbæk and burned upon impact and was a 100% loss.

Oberleutnant Volrad Braun died in the crash and was laid to rest in Esbjerg on 6/10 1942.
