Ju 88A-14 serial number 4217 crash landed near Hjørring 4/11 1942.


The aircraft belonged to I./KG 60 and was coded ?
T/o Norway Op: Transfer to København.


The Ju 88 emergency landed at 11:40 hours just west of Hjørring due to engine failure. It touched down in a field belonging to farmer Thomas Christensen and skidded along to end up in a garden belonging to School mistress Miss M. Wanning next to Hjørring electricity works.
On its way it destroyed several threes, some fences and a field of green cabbage.
 
It carried a five man crew and four of these were unharmed while one suffered from a broken leg according to the Danish police.

From German side is recorded that Pilot Gefreiter Horst Ueker and Engineer Gefreiter Franz Wild were injured.

On 16/11 it is recorded that the Ju 88 had been dismantled and removed.
