Bf 110 F-4 serial number 4726 crashed in the Storebælt 4/4 1943.


The aircraft belonged to 7./ NJG 3 and was coded D5+ER.
T/o Kastrup. Op: Feindflug.


The aircraft is believed to have crashed into the Storebælt off Korsør alternatively in the Storstrømmen south of the island of Sjælland and was a 100% loss. It is reported from the Marine at Nyborg at 00:35 hours that they are using a search light to search for a aircraft in the sea.

Pilot Unteroffizier Harald Brödel and Wop Unteroffizier Hermann Abele was found washed ashore on the island of Bogø on 7/4 1943 and now rest in København Vestre cemetery.
