Ju 88A-4 serial number 2046 crashed at Fliegerhorst Aalborg West 5/5 1943.


The aircraft belonged to 13./ KG 30 and was coded 4D+IX.
T/o Aalborg West. Op: Training.


Pilot Feldwebel Georg Thuringer lost control during take off and collided with a Ju 88 parked in the area.

4D+IX was 75% damaged and Pilot Feldwebel Georg Thuringer lost his life while navigator Unteroffizier Horst Reckstroh and Wop Unteroffizier Josef Macher were injured.
Thuringer was laid to rest in Frederikshavn cemetery on 12/5 1943.
