JU 88A-4 serial number 2043 emergency landed southwest of Hjallerup 25/6 1943.


The aircraft belonged to 10./ KG 30 and was coded ?
T/o Aalborg West. Op: Training.


The aircraft was seen to approach from northwest at 11:15 hours and touched down in a barley field belonging to “Nykro” farm. It skidded along and ended up lying across Lyngdrup bæk brook.
 
The emergency landing was due to engine failure, and the Ju 88 was 20% damaged and the crew was unharmed.
