FW 190A-6 serial number 530361 crashed near Fliegerhorst Aalborg West 4/8 1943.


The aircraft belonged to 10./ JG 11 and was coded ?
T/o Aalborg West. Op: Training.


Leutnant Karl Tauscher was practising high altitude air combat north of Fliegerhorst Aalborg West with another aircraft at 20-21:00 hours when his aircraft entered a shallow dive that suddenly changed to a steep dive. The FW 190 crashed at Egestedvej road in the Øster Halne parish killing Taicher. The FW 190 was a 100% loss.
The other aircraft returned to Fliegerhorst Aalborg West.

Tauscher was laid to rest in Frederikshavn cemetery on 10/8 1943.
On 10/4-67 his remains were disinterred and were evacuated to München in Germany.
