Bf 109G-2 serial number 14593 crashed near Kirke Flinterup on the island of Sjælland 19/8 1943.


The aircraft belonged to 3 Staffel Gr. Nord Flzg. Uberführ. Geschw. 1. and was coded ?
T/o ? Op: Heimat.


The BF 109 crashed in a field belonging to “Juliedal” farm near Døjringe / Kirke Flinterup shortly before 21.00 hours due to technical failure and was a 100% loss.
 
Pilot Feldwebel Heinrich Zimmermann was severely injured and was by ambulance taken to the hospital in Sorø where he died later the same day. He now rest in København Vestre cemetery.
