Bf 110G-2 serial number 5203 crashed in the North Sea 24/8 1943.


The aircraft belonged to 8./ ZG 26 and was coded 3U+CS .
T/o ? Op: Feindflug.


The Aircraft collided with Bf 110G-2 serial number 6412 coded 3O+FS north of the Frisian islands and crashed into the North Sea with the loss of both crews. Both aircrafts were 100% losses.

Wop Unteroffizier Bernhard Götte was found washed ashore near Bjerregaard on 25/9 and was handed over to the Luftwaffe at Einsatzhafen Rom.
He was laid to rest in Lemvig cemetery on 5/10 1943 without ecclesiastical assistance.

Pilot Leutnant Günther Schumann was found near Blaavand on 28/9 and was laid to rest in Fovrfelt cemetery on 4/10 1943.
