Bf 110G-4 serial number 5655 ditched south of Vordingborg 9/10 1943.


The aircraft belonged to I/ NJG 2 and was coded ?
T/o Wittstock. Op: Feindflug.


The Bf 110 was ditched in four feet of water about 150 metres off shore in Storstrømmen south of Vordingborg due to engine failure at 14:30 hours.
 
The crew was found standing on the wings of the Bf 110 by the Danish police and taken ashore.
They were unharmed but the aircraft was 50% damaged.
