Ar 196 serial number 0151 crashed at Fliegerhorst Aalborg See 9/10 1943.


The aircraft belonged to Bordflieger Staffel 1./ 196 and was coded T3+LK
T/o Aalborg Op:Feindflug.


The Ar 196 crashed during landing and sank at Fliegerhorst Aalborg See in the night.
 
Navigator Leutnant Karl Brendel was rescued and taken to Luftwaffe Lazarett Aalborg for treatment while Pilot Oberfeldwebel Helmuth Seeber drowned.
He was laid to rest in Frederikshavn cemetery on 16/10 1943.

The Ar 196 was a 90% loss.
