Ju 88A-4 serial number 2065 crashed near Skibsted 13/11 1943.


The aircraft belonged to IV/ KG 30 and was coded 4D+IX.
T/o Aalborg West. Op: Training.


The JU 88 crashed at approximately 14:00 hours between the farms “Aagaard” and “Kærgaard” northwest of Skibsted killing the crew of four. The wreckage was spread over a wide area and the aircraft was a 100% loss.

Pilot Unteroffizier Heinrich Neubecker, Navigator Unteroffizier Albert Söhns, Wop Obergefreiter Alois Grzegorek and Engineer Gefreiter Willi Gundlack were all laid to rest in Frederikshavn cemetery on 20/11 1943.

It was difficult to collect the wreckage due to wet weather but on 19/11 the area was released by the Danish authorities.



Note: WASt give the serial number as 2069 while RL 2 III/1195 say 2065.
