BV 138B serial number 2008 crashed in the Baltic 11/5 1944.


The aircraft belonged to Erg. Kü. Flg. ST. (F) See and was coded 6H+CH.
T/o København See. Op: Training.


The aircraft crashed into the Baltic Sea east of Stevns and was a 100% loss killing the crew of three.

The bodies of Student Pilot Oberfähnrich Rolf Twesten and Student Gunner Erich Sarther were soon recovered from the sea and were both laid to rest in København Vestre cemetery on 16/5 at 11:00 hours. The ceremony took place from the Eastern Chapel.
Instructor Pilot Oberfeldwebel Hans Pasoldt was retrieved from the sea at a later stage and today he also rest in København Vestre cemetery.
