He 177A-5 serial number 550034 emergency landed at Fliegerplatz Aalborg Ost 17/5 1944.


The aircraft belonged to 4./ KG 100 and was coded 6N+FM.
T/o Aalborg West. Op: Test flight after repair.


The He 177 had just taken off from Fliegerhorst Aalborg West around noon for a test flight after repair when it was attacked by a Mustang fighter and made a emergency landing at Fliegerplatz Aalborg Ost to get a way from the Mustang.

Pilot Leutnant Franz Lutz and Engineer Gefreiter Anton Galler were both wounded.
