Ju 88A-17 serial number 822617 emergency landed near Øster Hassing 17/5 1944.

The aircraft belonged to 2. / KG 26 and was coded NA+UO.
T/o ?. Op: Navigational flight.

The JU 88 was attacked by Mustangs around noon northeast of Aalborg and belly landed in a field belonging to Erlund Hansen of Hølund about 15 kilometres northeast of Aalborg.
It was seen coming low over the roof of the farm from the west and landed up hill east of the farm house.

One of the crew used the farm`s phone to call for help.
Two crew members were unharmed while Air gunner Unteroffizier Erick Schraml and navigator Unteroffizier Anton Kirk were severely wounded and were admitted to the Luftwaffe Ortslazarett Aalborg.
Anton Kirk died the next morning at 07:45 hours from a bullet in the stomach. He was laid to rest in Frederikshavn cemetery on 24/5 1944.
