Bf 110G-4 serial number 710182 crashed near Gram 29/5
1944.
The aircraft belonged to Stab IV / NJG 3 and was coded D5+FF.
T/o Westerland ?. Op: Operational flight.
The Bf 110 was on a operational flight when a engine fire erupted violently and
forced the crew of three to bail out. The aircraft crashed just south of Tiset
three kilometres southwest of Gram at 01:20 hours.
Pilot Hauptmann Franz
Buschmann, and Feldwebel Josef Geiger landed safely nearby.
A search was mounted
for Oberfeldwebel Werner Schuldt and at 02:55 hours it was reported that he had
been found death. Apparently his parachute had malfunctioned. He was laid to
rest in Fovrfelt cemetery in Esbjerg on 2/6 1944.
